Animal Planet Website

(1.1) My perfect breed is Collie.

Collies are the Girl Scouts of the canine world — they're intelligent, resourceful, and intensely loyal. So loyal, in fact, that a Collie once traveled from Indiana all the way to Oregon (over 3,000 miles!) to find her family. And if you own a television, this breed probably looks familiar. Timmy's Collie and best friend, Lassie, is one of the most famous dogs in the world.

Originally bred for companionship, herding, and guarding, today many Collies are beloved family dogs. We can't promise yours will save you if you fall down a well, but train her right and your Collie will be a super friend.

With origins in Scotland and Wales, this large-sized and medium-energy breed can grow to between 50-75 pounds and lives an average of 8-12 years. The breed is recognized by the American Kennel Club and classified as a member of the Herding group.

Watchdog: That a dog is trained to take care of its owners and their home. (Perro Guardian)

1.1 Affectionate:  Dogs that show the love they feel for their owners very often. (Cariñoso)

1.3 Tricks:  Skills acquire by a dog when being educated.(Trucos)
1.4 Fairly Trainable: When the dog is trained just to follow basic rules.(Entrenado de forma Basica o equitativa.)

Activity 2: Select 3 Shows.
1.- Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet: I like it because is a Veterinarian who faces differents situations with different species of animals, also all this happens on the mountain, which makes everyting more complex. I think its a good series to see the reality of the profession.

2.-Pit Bulls & Parolees: I really like this program because it touches on a very important issue that is the social reintegration of convicts taking care of and helping in a shelter of a dog breed that is considered dangerous, just like them.
For the same reason it is a great series to see and know cases of people who change their lives with this.

3.-America's Cutest: I like this program because it shows the most adorable and cute animals in North America, and I think there is nothing more beautiful than a puppy or a kitten newborn or small. In general, any baby animal is precious.
I would recommend seeing it only because of how beautiful it is.
